Laura Moeller

Bio:

Laura has been a live sound engineer for 10 years, participating in a wide variety of events ranging from music festivals to musical theater productions. She graduated from Penn West California with her B.S. in Commercial Music Technology in 2016. She is a proud union stagehand with IATSE Local #3, and a freelance A1.

Alongside those gigs, Laura is an educator and partnership coordinator with Tech 25, a non-profit workforce development organization that prepares teens and adults for careers in live event technology. Currently, she teaches Audio Basics, Live Sound I, and Live Sound II, while also coordinating master classes/workshops at the facility.

She also leads the Pittsburgh Chapter of SoundGirls where she works to support the next generation of women and non-binary audio engineers. She has participated in SoundGirls since 2017, founding the official Pittsburgh chapter in 2018. She aims to continue advancing in her work with education, but also hopes to own her own performance venue in the near future.
