The Entertainment Association Panel & Discussion
Friday, November 18, 3:00pm-4:30pm
In describing his efforts to defend our industry over the last year, Michael T Strickland described it this way: “the airlines, the restaurants, the gyms all showed up in a Battleship. Our industry showed up in hundreds of canoes.” It is clear - we need a Battleship. The Entertainment Association is a new political action committee that will represent the entire entertainment industry; touring, television, corporate, trade shows, theatre, meta experiences and anyone in the business of creating entertainment. Like the airlines, we’ll combine our version of the pilots, baggage handlers, gate agents, airlines, airports, and traffic controllers into a single, powerful, united voice in the sea of noise that is Washington DC. Our gathering at LDI will be a chance to have a wide discussion of where we’ve come from, where we can go, and why this is desperately needed. For those who think, ‘why now, the pandemic is behind us’? What is the next threat to our industry that could shut it down completely in less than 48 hours? “That can’t happen again”… did you see the last one coming? Join us as Bandit Lites’ chair, Michael T Strickland and a host of panelists from all experiences in this journey take a look at what comes next.
