Bio:
Rodrigo Meirelles is an Assistant Professor of Sound at Arizona State University and Director of the Sonora Immersive Audio Lab at ASU’s Media and Immersive eXperience (MIX) Center. His work explores spatial and immersive audio across performance, installation, film, music, and experiential media, with a broader interest in auditory perception, sound environments, and interdisciplinary collaboration between sound, visual design, technology, and performance. Before joining ASU, he spent a decade at Globo Studios in Brazil, where he served as Sound Executive Supervisor, leading sound teams and immersive audio initiatives across Emmy Award-winning broadcast, film, live event, and streaming productions, including the implementation of Dolby Atmos workflows.
