Chris Wood

Bio:

Chris Wood is a freelance designer who has had the pleasure of collaborating in a variety of entertainment styles, including concert, corporate, theatre, and opera. Chris's work has been seen at the Oregon Cabaret Theatre, Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theatre, Indiana Festival Theatre, Brown County Playhouse, and Ocean State Theatre Company. In 2015, Chris was honored to receive the LDI/Live Design & USITT Rising Star Award. In 2025, Chris joined Theatrical Media Services, where he designs and fabricates custom light-up elements for productions. Chris’s pixel-mapped illuminated sculpture, “Facets of a Journey,” was part of the 2026 Portland Winter Lights Festival. The 12-foot-tall interactive geode featured 204 crystals made of 7400 LEDs and stood in Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland.
