After the expo floor closes, join us at the iconic Circle Bar, the premier gathering spot for industry professionals to reconnect, network with friends and colleagues, and enjoy a refreshing beverage in a vibrant atmosphere.
The LDIndustry Party wouldn't be complete without the legendary Battle of the Busk! This electrifying event pits teams of lighting and video jockeys against each other in a live onstage showdown, where they harness cutting-edge equipment to craft spectacular lighting and media displays.
Held at the custom-built Battle of the Busk Stage on the show floor—conveniently located next to the iconic Circle Bar for easy access to drinks—teams of expertly trained lighting and video buskers compete before a live audience. A panel of industry experts awards prizes across multiple categories, while the audience votes for the most popular design, making it an unforgettable night of creativity and competition.
Inaugural VJ Challenge at LDI!

Location: LDI Circle Bar and Battle of the Busk Stage
Join us for a second night in the Circle bar to gather the LDI community at the inaugural VJ Challenge! LDI and Visual Artform present a unique opportunity for VJs from around the world to showcase their skills on the LDI Battle of the Busk stage. Winner takes a $2000 cash prize, a Depence license that was donated by Syncronorm, and the chance to be a guest VJ at a top festival or Las Vegas nightclub event in 2026.
The Rules:
- Each VJ will be given a specific genre of music, this is decided live, on stage, with our real-time music roulette selector driven by Pixera
- Once music genre is selected, one of our on stage DJ's; Leroy Fish, DJ Cable and KUTA will mix a 6-minute set for the VJ to showcase their skills and visual content
- The challenge to rock the LED screens to a random music genre will allow our panel of top industry judges to vote for the winner
The VJ Challenge panel includes top industry judges who have performed visual shows on top festival stages such as Tomorrowland to Coachella for artists such as Tyga to Fisher and designed tours for some of the world's biggest music acts from The Black Eyed Peas to Kygo. Winners will be announced Tuesday, 9am at the LDI Awards.
