One winner from each of the nine categories will be recognized during our awards ceremony at LDI 2026, and their project will be featured in a Project In Focus promoted on Live Design’s home page. The project will also be showcased in a dedicated newsletter, and on the LDI and Live Design social media accounts.

The Excellence in Live Design Awards recognize outstanding creative, technical, and production achievements across the global live entertainment industry. Presented by LDI and Live Design, the awards celebrate the people, teams, and projects behind exceptional live experiences in concerts, theatre, broadcast, immersive experiences, corporate events, and venues.

The Excellence in Live Design Awards have a long history of recognizing outstanding creative and technical achievement across the live entertainment industry. The program was paused during and following the COVID-19 pandemic, when the industry faced unprecedented challenges. As the live events community has recovered and evolved, LDI and Live Design are proud to bring the awards back in 2026 with an expanded global focus, celebrating the creativity, innovation, and collaboration driving today's most memorable live experiences.

An entry is more than an award submission. It is an opportunity for exceptional work to be showcased to a global audience of industry professionals. Entry fees help support the administration, promotion, and visibility of the program, including finalist recognition, winner promotion, audience engagement, and exposure across LDI and Live Design platforms.

Winners are selected through voting by the Live Design and LDI communities, giving industry professionals the opportunity to recognize the projects and teams they believe represent excellence in live design.

To maintain the integrity of the awards, voting activity is monitored for duplicate, automated, fraudulent, or otherwise irregular behavior. LDI and Live Design reserve the right to review and remove invalid votes. Our goal is to ensure a fair and credible process that recognizes exceptional work and celebrates the projects that have earned the respect of the live design community.
