Intro To Carbon.show
Session details:
Something new has arrived!
Carbon.show is a next-generation design platform purpose-built for live entertainment – collaborative, real-time, and built to change the pace of how shows come together. It's where ideas start: from concept through pitch, it brings teams into one shared 3D world where iteration happens naturally and feedback flows without delay.
No convoluted project sharing. No exporting. No versions. No waiting. This isn't CAD, and it isn't another previz tool – it's a tool designed for play, creativity, and momentum, where the show truly begins.
If your team has ever felt stuck between too many tools, too many versions, or too little time, this is the session to be in.
Who this is for:
Primary – the ones who start it all: concept and production designers who spark ideas at the very beginning of a show.
Secondary – the ones who join them: scenic, lighting, media, directors, producers, technical directors, and students. The whole point is that they can all explore the same world and grasp the vision instantly, without learning a new CAD package.
"Level: All" refers to experience, not hardware — this is approachable for a first-timer, but everyone still needs a machine that meets spec (below).
What attendees walk away understanding:
Where Carbon fits – the ideation/pitch phase, before load-in – and how it's different from CAD and from previz.
How fast first-touch is: the interface is familiar and minimal, no steep setup or learning curve.
The headline capability: multiple people designing in the same real-time 3D world, with every change visible to everyone instantly — no exports, no versions.
That it's Unreal Engine quality without Unreal Engine complexity — AAA visuals delivered in a tool for designers, not game developers.
Concretely how to keep going after the class (membership, live demos, Founder's Circle).
