Live Sound in 2026

Session details:

This course will touch on the fundamentals of getting started in the world of live sound engineering. It will provide a brief look into live sound career paths and an introduction to the skill sets needed for live mix engineers, stage techs and systems engineers. We will start by covering the fundamental science behind sound and modern sound systems and then how to transfer that knowledge to make informed decisions on the job. We will discuss sound system design & tuning, some go-to mixing techniques and how to best prepare for gigs. This course will include hands-on experience with Allen & Heath SQ consoles.
