A discussion of what the future holds for followspots in live entertainment, discussing fixture and lamping options as the industry moves away from Incandescent sources and towards LED options. Also, the varying degrees of automation that exist or are in development for followspots, from board control of some functions on traditional lights, to manned moving lights, remotely controlled moving lights, and unmanned automated tracker systems.
This session is the third in a series of followspot sessions that run from 10:30am-12:30pm including a 30-minute Q&A at the end.
