Zak Borovay

Bio:

Zachary Borovay is an award-winning media designer and Director of Media Production at Luna Lux LLC, as well as the Digital Media Commissioner for USITT. His visuals have been seen worldwide—from Disney and Universal theme parks to Broadway, where his credits include the hit Rock of Ages, Evita, Xanadu, Lombardi, A Catered Affair, and more. He has earned a Helen Hayes Award, two IRNE Awards, and multiple Drama Desk nominations for his pioneering projection design.

Zak’s work spans live entertainment, television, museums and global events, with projects ranging from the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and the Tony Awards to productions for Rihanna, Royal Caribbean, and the Smithsonian. A respected educator and thought leader, he has taught at Emerson College, lectured at Yale, CalArts, and NYU, and is a co-host on the industry podcast Light Talk. He also occasionally trades the design booth for the stage as a bassist.
