Sloane Kolesar
Lighting Designer
Bio:
Sloane Kolesar (he/him) is a lighting designer and draftsperson with The Lighting Design Group (LDG), a leading firm in television studio lighting design based in New York. He works primarily as assistant designer to LDG’s VP of Design, Dennis Size, supporting a wide range of broadcast projects. More recently, he contributed as assistant designer and draftsperson to the redesign of Good Morning America, and he regularly supports other LDG productions through drafting, programming, and project development.
From 2022 to 2024, Sloane served as an assistant lighting director at CNN, having joined LDG immediately after graduation. He earned his BFA in Lighting Design from the University of Florida, apprenticed with the Santa Fe Opera in 2021, and served as a resident lighting designer at Heartwood Soundstage in Gainesville, FL.
