Bio:
Michelle Harvey (USA 829, MFA) is an assistant professor with the Missouri State University Department of Theatre and Dance. She is a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829 in the scenic design category. Recent design credits for MSU include scenic and projection design for White Christmas, scenic design for Shakespeare in Love, and the world premiere of A Killer Party. Michelle has designed professionally for Aspen Music Festival, Tent Theatre, the Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe, Dallas Children’s Theater, Uptown Players, Stage West, Theatre Three, The Turtle Creek Chorale, among others as well as guest artist designs with Florida State University and James Madison University. Elsewhere, she has designed in Arizona, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
She has been a member and held various leadership positions with the United States Institute of Theatre Technology (USITT) since 2001. Currently, she is the chair of the USITT Heart of America Regional Section
