Michel Goulet

Bio:

Michel has spent over 40 years immersed in the world of vertical environments—both for work and play. Since 2003, he has served as a pioneering force at Petzl America, leading the Professional Division for one of the world’s foremost designers and manufacturers of work-at-height, rope access and rescue equipment.

Michel began his vertical journey in 1976, rock climbing in Eastern Canada, and later transitioned into teaching the sport. His passion for height and safety eventually led him to the professional realm, where he has delivered specialized training for tower climbers, rope access technicians, tactical teams, and rescue professionals across North America.

A true leader in the field, Michel was one of the original six SPRAT Evaluators, playing a key role in developing the certification standards and safe work practices that have shaped the rope access industry in North America.
