Bio:
Kerstin Hovland is a production designer and creative director working in the mediums of moving image, light, and space. Specializing in real-time visual systems, interactive media, and experiential design, she creates innovative projects that span live entertainment, virtual production, and immersive experiences. Her work has been featured at prominent venues and events worldwide, earning recognition for its seamless integration of art and cutting-edge technology.
Her roles and projects include Screens Producer for the Democratic National Convention in 2024, Creative Director for ServiceNow and Leon Bridges Live at the Sphere in Las Vegas, Production Design for the Media Access Awards on PBS, Production Designer for the Latin Women in Music Awards, and Video Designer for The 1975 Tours (2015-2019), Interactive Producer for The Night of Art and Fashion at the Louvre, and Screens Producer and Video Designer for Together, Terrance Malick’s Virtual Reality Film, and Video Artist and Environment Designer for the Lacma Art and Film Gala 2014-2025. Passionate about education and mentorship, Kerstin frequently shares her knowledge as a speaker and educator, speaking at Integrated Systems Europe, Live Design International, and lecturing at the California Institute of the Arts.
