Keith Bohn

Bio:

Keith Bohn is a recognized leader in the entertainment truss and rigging industry, with more than 30 years of experience advancing safety, engineering excellence, and technical innovation. Since 1998, he has been an active participant in the ESTA Technical Standards Program, contributing to the development of key industry standards, including ANSI E1.2 for aluminum trusses and towers and ANSI E1.21 for temporary outdoor structures used in the entertainment industry. In 2013, Keith led the ANSI E1.21 task group, an effort that earned the team the prestigious ESTA Frank Stewart Volunteer of the Year Award.

A respected educator, author, and industry advocate, Keith has delivered training programs around the world and authored numerous articles promoting safe truss design and usage. He also contributed the chapter on outdoor structures to the industry reference book Entertainment Rigging for the 21st Century. As a founding contributor to the Event Safety Alliance, Keith participated in the development of the organization’s landmark Event Safety Guide, helping establish best practices that have enhanced safety throughout the live events industry. He is both an ETCP Certified Arena Rigger and an ETCP Recognized Trainer, reflecting his ongoing commitment to professional development and workforce education.

Since joining TOMCAT in 1996 and continuing through its evolution into Area Four Industries America, Keith has held leadership positions overseeing the Sales, Electrical, and Design departments. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in the development of numerous TOMCAT products, while his rigging solutions and structural innovations have supported hundreds of productions worldwide. His work has been featured on some of the largest stadium and arena tours of the past several decades, reaching audiences numbering in the millions across the globe.

Today, Keith serves as Technical Development Director and PROLYTE Brand Manager for Area Four Industries America, where he continues to drive product development, technical education, and industry engagement. Area Four Industries is a global leader in entertainment infrastructure solutions, bringing together the renowned brands TOMCAT, James Thomas Engineering, MILOS, PROLYTE, EXE Technology, and LITEC.
