Cosmo Wilson is an industry-defining concert lighting designer and director widely considered a living legend in rock-and-roll production. Over a career spanning more than four decades, Cosmo has shaped the visual identity of stadium rock, blending a brilliant creative vision with a reputation as one of the most respected and beloved personalities in live music.

After getting his start on touring road crews in 1986, Cosmo quickly rose through the ranks to become the lighting crew chief for The Rolling Stones’ historic 1989 Steel Wheels tour. Since then, he has collaborated with over 40 of history’s biggest musical acts, including Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest. He also famously directed the lighting for the historic 1992 Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert at Wembley Stadium.

Cosmo’s most enduring partnership is with AC/DC. Since 1990, he has directed over 700 shows for the band, illuminating everything from the 1991 Monsters of Rock festival in Moscow before 1.6 million fans to their recent Power Up world tour. A multi-time Parnelli and Pinnacle Award winner, Cosmo continues to dominate the global stadium circuit, recently designing the high-impact look for Aerosmith’s Peace Out farewell tour.
