Chris Merriman

Bio:

Chris is a lighting designer, lighting and media programmer, and production designer with over 35 years in the industry. Currently the director of Design Technology and a senior designer with Lightswitch. Chris has worked on a wide array of productions over the years on both the design side and technician side. From theatrical tours and productions to concert tours, television, a large array of special events, and pretty much any other event you can think of.

With a keen sense and understanding of the creative side, he also has a large portfolio of the engineering / implementation side, as well as a healthy knowledge of electronics (Literally the kid who got in trouble for taking apart the VCR as a child). This background lends itself to often coming up with those off hand solutions for unique challenges that arise during productions.
