Bio:
ALAN M. ROWE, is the Safety & Training Director for IATSE Local 728 Studio Lighting Technicians in Burbank, CA. Alan serves as the co-Chair for both the ECTP Electrical Certifications, is the co-chair of the ESTA Technical Standards Program Council, is seated on Code Making Panel 15 of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70), is a member of the Motion Picture/Television Industry Wide Safety Committee, is a past member of the ESTA Board of Directors, and served as the chair of the former IATSE Crafts Advancement Program committee. Having been in the entertainment industry since 1975, Alan has a broad experience working in touring and live events including opera, dance, and theater prior to moving into the motion picture/television industry. Alan holds degrees from the North Carolina School of the Arts, BFA (1988) and the California Institute of the Arts, MFA (1994)
