In this LDI session, Bob Bonniol will explore how media servers are evolving from playback boxes into flexible orchestration frameworks that plug into AI engines, Unreal, and other real-time renderers, sensor networks, and show control systems to create living, responsive environments. We’ll look at “theater everywhere” as a design and technology lens, unpacking how tomorrow’s servers will route data, interpret intent, and coordinate visual, spatial, and experiential layers across venues, retail, public realms, and live performance. Attendees will leave with a clear picture of where the media server ecosystem is heading and how to prepare their own workflows, teams, and projects for this new era of pervasive, interactive storytelling.
