This session led by ETCP Recognized Trainer Richard Cadena will provide a practical, real-world roadmap to understanding and implementing the requirements of ANSI ES1.17–2025: Event Lighting & Electrical Safety, helping attendees identify electrical hazards, conduct effective risk assessments, and develop compliant event electrical safety plans that meet both industry standards and regulatory expectations. Drawing directly from the standard’s framework, the course explores planning and evaluation, documentation, grounding and bonding, equipment selection, installation practices, and emergency response, with an emphasis on the roles and responsibilities of competent and qualified personnel and the importance of clear communication and traceability throughout the event lifecycle.
