This session is designed to help attendees understand the various types of performer tracking systems available for live events—what they are, how they work, and how to use them effectively. I’ll break down the core technologies behind each major system, provide real-world examples of successful system integrations and applications, and discuss common pitfalls and failure points.

We will discuss how to spec the right system for your show based on budget, scope, production elements, and goals. I will give real world examples on the requirements of personnel, time, and gear necessary to implement tracking in a show.   
We will cover integration- walk through what to expect when loading into a tour or venue, what departments need to be involved, and what questions to ask from day one.

Finally, we’ll quickly look at industry examples of how to leverage tracking creatively once it’s integrated—from expanding your lighting design to interacting with automation and video—and we’ll end with an open Q&A to answer specific questions from attendees.
