AI Workflows for Immersive Entertainment: Full Day

Join SudoMagic for a two-part session on the last techniques using AI for immersive entertainment. The first part of the workshop will cover concepts for designing with AI systems in mind, and the second part will be a hands-on approach to using AI with TouchDesigner.

Session 1 | Half-Day (morning)
Instructors: Matthew Ragan and Zoe Sandoval
The world of AI is moving at lightning speed – from new workflows to models to industry leaders – there’s a lot to keep up with when it comes to the world of generative AI. This workshop will cover a series of case studies of real-world uses of Gen AI in the immersive entertainment industry. Along with a deeper look at projects that have used AI, this session will cover an overview of the latest tools, how to design AI workflows, and approaches to prompt engineering. The goal of this workshop is to get up to speed with the latest in generative AI, to understand its strengths and weaknesses, and gain practical learnings from AI workflows.

Session 2 | Half-Day (afternoon)
Instructors: Matthew Ragan and Ian Shelanskey
This hands-on session will cover techniques for AI workflows using TouchDesigner. A real-time visual programming environment, TouchDesigner is an incredibly powerful tool for creating immersive, interactive experiences. Not only can it be used for media playback and control, but can be leveraged for integrating AI models into your workflows. Within this session, we will look at some of the latest integrations for working with large language models (LLMS). The session will look at a practical hands-on approach to structuring requests to remote services, and how to interact with locally hosted LLMs.

Participants should come prepared to write a little bit of code and learn the ins and outs of APIs for current AI products.
