The new tablet harness allows for two-hand, multi-touch control during remote mixing or remote tuning of a room
Las Vegas – October 19, 2018 - Brooklyn, New York-based manufacturer Gig Gear™LLC will showcase its new Two Hand Touch tablet harness at LDI 2018 held at The Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas from October 19-21, 2018.
The brand new Two Hand Touch (THT) is a lightweight harness that is worn over the shoulders and across the chest that allows audio, lighting, staging & rigging and all other professionals the ability to use both hands on apps that allow for multi-touch capabilities. The THT also keeps the iPad out of the way, but makes it immediately accessible when necessary.
The THT is ideal for two-hand, multi-touch control during remote mixing, remote lighting control or remote systems control. The Two Hand Touch also helps techs wirelessly control systems in large venues without having to carry around the tablet.
“The iPad has become ubiquitous in practically every industry, and the live production industry is no different,” said Danny Shatzkes, founder of Gig Gear LLC. “Using an iPad in a venue can be very beneficial for so many different tasks, however having to carry it around constantly can still be quite cumbersome. Gig Gear’s Two Hand Touch will allow production and live event & entertainment pros the opportunity to utilize their iPads and tablets in a far more efficient and ergonomic manner, eliminating the need to physically carry it around all day, while still providing immediate access. Gig Gear’s mission is to make the jobs of production professionals easier, safer, more efficient and more fun. With the Two Hand Touch, we believe we’re continuing to achieve that mission."
The THT eliminates the potential for misplacing, dropping or damaging an iPad or tablet and comes in two sizes that fit both the standard iPad and the iPad Pro. The harness also features multiple pockets and straps for expendables and additional tools. It also contains additional internal straps to allow for securing smaller tablets as well.
Gig Gear LLC, founded in the summer of 2014, was launched by Daniel Shatzkes with the intent of providing music and audio professionals with novel and innovative products to make their jobs easier, safer, more efficient and more fun.
