Rob began his lighting career at Britain's National Youth Theatre; in the seventeen years since he has worked as lighting programmer or lighting designer on productions around the world. His designs include Daddy Cool (London, Berlin), co-lighting the recent UK tour of Mary Poppins and UK and US tours of My Fair Lady, the Russian Romance Concerts in London and St Petersburg, and ten years of shows at LAMDA and the Royal Academy of Music in London.
As a lighting programmer, his shows have included Equus, Mary Poppins, Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, Guys and Dolls, Ragtime, Oklahoma!, Oliver!, Anything Goes, The Coast of Utopia and many more.
Rob also writes about entertainment technology for a range of publications; the best of these articles are now available in the books Entertainment In Production 1994-1999 and 2000-2006. |
